A special welcome to those of you who found your way here through my Girlfriends in God devotion "What Dwelling?".

Sharon, Mary, and Gwen are wonderful friends; and I'm thrilled you stopped in Nomad Wife for a visit.

Please drop by anytime.

Blessings, dear friend.

  1. Oh boy....did this resonate with me. I had begun to think that I was unique in the number of times I have had to relocate because of my husbands circumstances/choices etc. Left up to me...we'd never move house. It's always encouraging to know someone else goes though these things too and especially how they manage to overcome their frustrations. Recently, I had to move countries...not something I ever anticipated and it's taken a long time for me to adjust not least because I have to learn a new language and while my children have adapted well...I'm learning a lot slower. I can't say I have handled this relocation particularly well mainly because I had to leave behind a wonderful church and after three difficult years I have only now found another but it is an hours drive away and of course conducted in the local language (French). Trusting God in such circumstances is a tough call at times, sometimes I just feel totally forgotten and abandoned. I know from the word this isn't true but standing on it is sometimes difficult.

  2. Dear friend.
You have one up on me--moving to another country. I admire your commitment to the marriage covenant you made with your husband. I'm confident God will bless you for your faithfulness.

Please stop in for a visit again. Until then, I'm standing in the gap remembering you, your husband, and your family in my prayers.

  3. Bonnie,

I have gone through the move thing. I know about the fear and frustration.
I hope that you keep writing. I believe that you will be an inspiration to many women!

P.S. Stop by my blog anytime!
